1. Activity report of 2022

Reminder :

· In order to give visibility to the NGO, a Facebook page, a website and an information leaflet have been created.

· A Leetchi fundraiser has been launched online to collect donations for back-to-school kits.

· Several hundred school textbooks have been collected in France..

It remains to be seen whether the manuals collected correspond to the Beninese methods because the cost of shipping from France to Benin is high..

3. Project.

- In a context of international crisis, the fundraising was not up to the desired level and the back-to-school kit endowment project, which would have benefited only a few students, had to be abandoned. It is now a question of thinking about using the prize pool to fill an urgent need that will impact all students. We are waiting for the meeting with the directors to identify this need.

4. Various information.

- We got in touch with a French association that created a private school in Benin with which we changed a lot of information. We can benefit from the experience of his presidency, which has been coming to Benin twice a year for ten years.

- Similarly, we met the heads of the IFCID-NGO (Women's Initiative for Inclusive and Sustainable Change) with whom we have common points and with whom we could establish a partnership.

5. Meeting with the directors of Public Primary School Gbessou

The directors of the Public Primary School of Gbéssou are then welcomed. The president traces the various actions carried out by the NGO S.F since our visit to Gbéssou in February 2022.

· They leaf through the copies of French textbooks and specify that these are quite usable in Benin and would be a valuable help for their students. They propose to create a library that the students could consult and borrow in turn.

· It is then suggested that children's novels can also be collected.

The next step will be to find the financing for the delivery of the books to Benin.

· The directors discover the website, the project and the videos made during our visit.

· They inform us that the school has recently been equipped with solar panels by an NGO and that the electrical connections have been made. However, the school does not yet have any equipment.

· Given that the school has been equipped with solar panels and that it has electric power, we decided with the directors to use the fund to equip the school with a photocopier and a computer in order to impact the entire school.

· It is decided that everyone should inquire at the computer centers, the price of a photocopier and a computer to compare prices and make the best choice in accordance with our budget.

· The meeting ends with a group photo shoot.
